Ingredients: Sorbitol (naturally occurring sugar), Coconut Oil, Propylene Glycol (vegetable sourced), Stearic Acid (plant-sourced), Water, Sodium Hydroxide, and Glycerin.

Our handmade soap is made with skin-loving olive oil, sunflower, coconut oil, & cocoa butter. Our scents are carefully chosen fragrance oils that are phthalate-free and work well with sensitive skin (because we also suffer from sensitive skin!). To color our soap we use micas, all dye-free.

The majority of our soap is olive oil, used since ancient times to make soap. Olive oil gives our soap a buttery feel. More than other oils, it provides moisturization that lasts for a longer time, making it perfect for people with very dry or irritated skin.

We chose to use sunflower oil in our recipe for two different reasons. First, sunflower oil is packed with essential fatty acids and vitamin E, to help condition.  But we also use sunflower oil because it slows down soap’s hardening process allowing us to make lots of fun designs.

Coconut oil is a staple in lots of handmade soaps. It brings cleansing and bubbling properties to the bar.

And finally, we use a pretty large amount of cocoa butter (you can actually smell the chocolatey aroma in our scentless bars!) which adds even more luscious moisture as well as antioxidants.

Why handmade soap? There are so many reasons! When made traditionally soap contains glycerin, a natural byproduct of the soapmaking process. It is a humectant, drawing moisture from the air which keeps skin hydrated. Commercially-produced soaps are commonly processed to extract glycerin to achieve a long shelf life. Soap without glycerin is harsh and drying. Manufacturers of store-bought soap add in irritating chemicals and chemicals that have proven to be carcinogens just to help the soap bubble, make the scent last longer, or be easier to manufacture.
